Military Flight Operations and Safety Management

Marcus’s aviation career includes military flight operations and flight safety management. Beginning his air force career in 1994 as a pilot on fighter aircraft, he later moved onto commands in air surveillance and transport aircraft.

From 2006 Marcus became more deeply involved with flight safety. His roles include Head of Flight Safety Department for NATO E-3A, training captain in an operational squadron and Head of Squadron Flight Safety.

Marcus is experienced in multiple areas of aviation safety including conducting operational safety investigations, operational risk assessments and preparation and conduct of flight safety audits of subordinate units (flying units, aircraft maintenance and forward operating bases).
