Type Certification and Airworthiness

Massimo has decades of technical, regulatory and managerial experience in both the aviation industry and with the EU aviation authorities. At the European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) he was head of Rotorcraft Certification, where he created and managed the department in charge of performing, for the European Union, initial certification and continued airworthiness of European and foreign rotorcraft and Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS).

At EASA he was also the Head of Strategy and Programmes, where he was responsible for the European Aviation Rulemaking programme and fostered coordination of national advisory bodies.

Massimo specialises in product certification, design organisation issues and strategic objectives, in either initial or continuing airworthiness. He also provides consultation on the European Aviation Regulatory Framework.
