Client feedback

“Across Safety Development has assisted the UK Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) by providing initial, refresher and advanced bowtie methodology and Bowtie XP software user training. Their trainers are enthusiastic and have great expertise, delivering the training to a very high standard. We also worked with Across on an innovative bowtie project to provide the aviation industry with bowtie templates relevant to the main industry risks. Their aviation experience and bowtie knowledge helped us create a product which is in high demand and we are very grateful for their assistance.”

BowTie Program Manager, UK CAA

“The training we received on Risk Management, methodology and software manipulation was exemplary, allowing us to move forward using Bowtie with the understanding, knowledge and confidence that what we were doing was best practice.”

Brize Norton and 2Gp Bowtie Development Officer, RAF UK

“Across Safety delivered both ‘basic bowtie’ and ‘train the trainer’ training for HAECO Hong Kong. The training, which included workshops and interactive group sessions, was very well structured and delivered to a high standard. Throughout the training, the trainers enthusiasm, passion and expertise in the Bowtie methodology, as well as Aviation, shone through and he built up a good rapport with the participants. The material was thoughtfully crafted to fit with our operational environment and will be of great value to our organisation as we continue enhancing our Safety Risk programmes.”

Business Improvement & Sustainable Development Team (HAECO Group), Hong Kong

“Across Safety was the right choice for us. With their assistance, and expertise in the SORA method, we have been able to obtain the first drone light show approval in Switzerland using a swarm of up to 100 specially equipped LED drones. They were proactive and easy to work with from our base in Switzerland using a combination of online meetings and email. We happily recommend their consulting services.”

CEO, XD Motion, France

“Following the delivery of ‘in-house’ BowTie training by Across at our Heathrow headquarters, we are happy to recommend the company and their BowTie training program to other operators. Having the workshop exercises customised to our operations was a big plus and the follow-up support after the course was also very helpful.”

Compliance Team Manager, British Airways, UK

“The Bow tie process will bring a new dimension to how we demonstrate operational risk in the business. The visual representation allows the users to quickly see where any deficits in risk mitigation (barriers) may exist and the potential consequences should the top event occur.”

Director of Safety and Airfield Operations, London City Airport, UK

“Across Safety has provided excellent continuous support on all regulatory aspects of our vehicle development programme. They have helped us to define a regulatory strategy that matches our long-term global business plans, while simultaneously managing all the detailed regulatory work for our sub-scale vehicle testing. We have been impressed by the ability of Across Safety to navigate the regulatory complexity of developing a high-altitude unmanned airship, which does not normally fit within the existing rules of most countries. We are happy to recommend their services.”

Director of Vehicle Operations, Avealto, UK

“The whole package provided by Across Safety Development has been excellent, from our initial Bow Tie training sessions to the follow-up sessions further developing the content of our Bow Ties. The guidance provided in these sessions set us off in the right direction from the start, which is exactly what we hoped to achieve. As we now work with the Bow Ties, any questions or queries that arise are promptly answered by Across; this in turn helps to expand our knowledge of the software and its capabilities. In all, we would highly recommend Across Safety Development.”

Director, ATCSL, UK

“Across Safety has provided excellent value for us when we’ve needed external support the most. Thanks to their specialist knowledge and expertise in obtaining unmanned aircraft regulatory approvals, Skyports has been able to secure BVLOS operational authorisation from the UK CAA to deploy our delivery drones for the NHS in the Scotland as part of the response to COVID-19, including becoming the first drone operator in the UK to be granted permission by the CAA to carry dangerous goods by unmanned aircraft. We cannot recommend Across Safety enough and they will continue to be our go-to unmanned aviation consultants in the future.”

Head of Regulation, Skyports, UK

“Across Safety delivered a two day Bowtie training course tailored to students from 15 different HNA Aviation units including airlines, airports and helicopter operations at our headquarters in China. The course was very thought provoking and provided us with a great insight into how we can benefit from using Bowtie in our risk management processes. It is clear that Across Safety Development are experts in the application of Bowtie risk management in the aviation environment and we have found their assistance to be of great value to our organisation.”

HNA Aviation Group China

“The training provided by Across Safety was highly professional and engaging. We had a multitude of personnel of varied experience with BowTie on the course and everyone took something valuable away. The mixture of presentation and practical exercises was perfect and the ability of the trainer to adapt to our specific needs was highly commendable.”

RAF High Wycombe, UK

“I can warmly recommend Across Safety’s BowTie training for professionals in the aviation industry. Training included a lot of practical examples in the aviation context as well as tips and tricks on how to use BowTie XP in an efficient way. Their trainers’ broad experience from the aviation industry brings a lot of insights to the training and to the BowTie cases.”

Risk Manager, Finnair, Finland

“The BowTie training was clear, concise and right on target, with time for questions (and answers!).”

Safety Manager, Volotea, Spain
